Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
The history of warfare is brought to life in this series from the History Channel. Experts from the Royal Armories in London share their knowledge on the construction and use of the weapons that were used in battle from ancient times in Rome, Greece, and Northern Europe, through the development of modern warfare. In this episode, the role that knights played in their societies is examined. The beauty and craft of their armor and weaponry was matched by the creed by which they lived. The program is illustrated by reenactments, as well as the presentation of many fine examples from the museum collection.
