Synopsis by Janiss Garza

After a couple of months playing bits and supporting roles for Lubin, up-and-coming comic actor Oliver Hardy gets the lead role in this split-reel picture. Hardy plays Mr. Jones, a perfectly healthy man who comes down with a bad case of hypochondria when he reads a medical almanac. He becomes convinced that he is extremely sick and takes to his bed. His concerned family members call on various doctors, who, along with all the visiting neighbors, exhaust Jones for real. Convinced he is dying, he calls for his relatives. They spend their time not at Jones' bedside but in the kitchen, eating all the food, and looting the house of all of Jones' valuables. This finally gets Jones out of bed, and he angrily chases all the relatives away and gets rid of the nurse and the medicine. We last see him ripping the almanac to shreds. Featured with Hardy are Lubin regulars Frances Ne Moyer, Marguerite Ne Moyer, and Julia Calhoun.
