Hickville residents Anna Mae Nell (Eileen Percy) and Virgil Cole (William Scott) are happily engaged until actress Sibyl Fane (Rosemary Theby) comes to visit. She's thoroughly bored with what their small town offers as entertainment, and Virgil realizes he wants to experience the big city. He sells his drug store and heads for New York. Anna follows to watch over him. But Sibyl has a suspicion that Virgil isn't as true blue as he appears and she and her pals encourage Anna to test his love. Disguised as a Follies girl and a masked model, Anna gets him to romance her. But when he becomes too amorous, she escapes to an artist's studio. The artist, a wealthy young man (Paul Kamp), turns out to be Mr. Right, and Anna resoundingly dumps her faithless beau. Eileen Percy actually was a Follies girl and a model before acting in motion pictures.
