Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Rotund leading man Walter Hiers supplies the comedy, while star Wanda Hawley comes up with the drama in this comedy-drama. Sammy Butters (Hiers) is part owner in a ranch, but his main occupation is writing verse. He's engaged to the aggressive, mannish ranch manager Belle Bright (Sylvia Ashton), but longs for someone he can protect, instead of vice versa. He finds the girl of his dreams in Violet White (Hawley), who's looking for a "sturdy oak." He manages to get away from Belle and marry Violet. But the couple have a rough time of it -- Sammy can't sell his poems and they can't make ends meet. On top of that Violet's mother (Maym Kelso) is overtly hostile to her son-in-law. Then, at the worst possible moment, they have twins. The little family is forced to occupy a deserted cabin, and that's when their luck turns. There's a beehive in the cabin and the couple open up an apiary. Their business is a success and they're finally back on their feet.
