In this tragic soap opera, a man (Ralph Kellard) leads a double life -he's married and has a son, and he also has a mistress who gives birth to his daughter. When he refuses to marry his mistress, she tries to drown herself but is saved by a fishing boat. The wife finds the little girl and takes her home, but two years later, while she, her husband, and the child are on a motor boat, it explodes, killing the couple. The girl is rescued by her own mother, who raises her. As an adult (played by Dorothy Green), the girl meets and falls in love with a young man (also played by Kellard). They make plans to marry, but then they find out they are half brother and sister. The girl, despondent, drowns herself.
