Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This five-reel mystery-drama was produced by the Thanhouser Company, a successful but now-forgotten independent 1910s motion picture firm based in New Rochelle. Sylvia Leigh (Doris Grey) returns home from boarding school to live with the father she never really knew (J.H. Gilmore). He dies soon after her arrival, making her promise to track down the "man who ruined his life." During her search, Sylvia gets herself in trouble and is saved by a mysterious man (Wayne Arey). She falls in love with the man, and when he robs the consulate of a foreign power, she helps him escape. But the incident has given her proof that he is the man her father asked her to find. Even though she loves him, she turns him in to the Secret Service. Only at the last minute does she relent and beg him to escape. But he refuses to leave, and with good reason -- it turns out that he is a member of the Secret Service himself, and her father had been working against the government.
