Bessie Love plays a waitress known only as "Waffles." She works at Coffee Dan's with cook Shorty Olson (Max Davidson) and is courted by musician Carl Miller (Frank Bennett). Into this cozy situation comes a group of crooks, who are trying to get their hands on an heiress's fortune. They convince Waffles that she has inherited the money with the intention of marrying her off to one of the gang and then taking off with the dough. But Carl interrupts the wedding, the real heiress shows up and the scheme is soundly foiled. So it's back to Coffee Dan's for the trio, except that the reward they are given enables Shorty to buy the place, and Carl writes a hit so he and Waffles can marry and live together in style.
