Synopsis by Sarah Welsh
In this sportive short film, Tracey Moffatt (Nice Colored Girls, Night Cries, Bedevil) looks at gender, desire, and the under-appreciated female gaze. Inverting the norms of power and gender relations, Moffatt films muscular male surfers changing clothes at the beach. She then approaches them flirtatiously, gauging their reactions to being watched, admired, and objectified; the results are both humorous and revealing.
