Synopsis
The northeast city of Harbin is the locale for a study of community life in industrial China. The hour includes a look inside a jail, where ideological teachings are part of the rehabilitation process; and a visit to a hospital, where a woman is seen undergoing surgery using acupuncture instead of general anesthesia.
