Synopsis by Mark Deming

A man familiar with the unscrupulous world of big business is drawn into a scheme more sinister than he imagined in this thriller from writer and director Rumle Hammerich. Martin Vinge (Lars Mikkelsen) once made his living as a journalist, but he's since taken up a successful career as a "headhunter" who can lure top talent from one corporation to another for the right price. While Martin has learned to be cautious after being burned in a scandal, he's intrigued enough to accept an invitation for a meeting with Niels Sieger (Henning Moritzen), the wealthy CEO of a powerful and well-known firm. Niels had long intended for his son Daniel (Flemming Enevold) to take over the company, but Niels has come to believe his son lacks the talent for the job, and he wants Martin to find a successor for him. Martin agrees and discretely lines up several likely candidates, but in time he comes to believe Niels isn't telling him the truth and he's being tied into a nefarious plot again. Headhunter was an official selection at the 2009 BFI London Film Festival.
