Synopsis by Mark Deming
A prankster finds himself up against a joker whose wit has deadly consequences in this taut thriller. T.J. Owens (Derek Hoffman) is an overgrown adolescent living in Chicago who likes pulling elaborate jokes on his friends when he isn't busy getting stoned and losing money betting on football. T.J. supports himself as a security guard at a warehouse, and one night as he stands watch over the empty storehouse while a massive snowstorm blankets the area, he discovers he's not alone. A serial killer has made his way into the building, one with a perverse sense of humor who likes to toy with his victims before decapitating them, and T.J. struggles to stay one step ahead of the lunatic while trying to anticipate his next twisted move. Head Hunter was the first feature film from writer, director and editor Troy McGatlin.
