Harry (Jan Nielsen) is the teenage boy on the verge of self discovery. When he invents a new product, an American company offers to pay for his continuing education in the United States. His parents are at a stalemate in their marriage. His father labors on a printing press and his mother engages in an illicit affair with the American business representative. Harry turns down the offer when he discovers his mother's affair. He also realizes he has made some older friends in the town he thought had nothing to offer him.
