Originally titled Good Eating, this moderately successful Canadian cooking show originated from the Toronto studios of the CBC. Once the series' host, master chef Hans Fread, began to develop a following, the series' title was changed to Hans in the Kitchen. Debuting January 22, 1953, the series was seen first on Thursdays, then on Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. The last session of Hans in the Kitchen aired on May 18, 1954.
