This 12-episode OVA series updates and expands on the 1986 OVA movie Guyver: Out of Control. It begins with the same premise as the original, telling the story of a high-school boy named Sho who stumbles across a mysterious device, only to find that touching it immediately fuses his body with powerful biomechanical armor, turning him into The Guyver. The evil Chronos corporation who engineered The Guyver as the ultimate weapon will stop at nothing to capture Sho, but it's the suit itself that can give him the power to stand up to Chronos for the good of humanity. Forced to separate himself from his friends and family to protect them from Chronos, Sho's life as a high-school student is gone, and it's time for him to go into battle. He isn't certain if he's human anymore, but in his struggle he will discover the origins of all humanity.
