Lucrezia Noin has brought Heero and Quatre to the Sanc Kingdom to reunite Heero with Relena -- and, unknown to Relena, to reunite him with his Gundam as well. While Quatre is eager to protect the Sanc Kingdom from the forces gathering against it, Heero is prepared to leave as soon as he gets his Gundam. Relena convinces him to stay while her people search for Trowa, and the two young Gundam pilots are enrolled at the Institute where she passes on her father's pacifist teachings. Dorothy Catalonia is interested in Heero's appearance, having figured out that he is one of the Gundam pilots despite his denials. Meanwhile, a rebel battalion from the Treize Faction has been driven into the Sanc Kingdom's forests, and Relena decides to allow the injured soldiers to remain as temporary refugees. Noin passes the information on to the Treize Faction captain, who tells her that they were manipulated into that area: By giving them aid, the Sanc Kingdom is giving the Romefeller Foundation an excuse to invade.
