With 26 episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing in the hopper, the producers evidently felt that the time had come for a "recap" episode -- or, as such an episode is known in the cartoon business, a "cheater." Gundam pilot Heero and Sanc princess Relena touch base to recall what has happened to them, and to everyone around them, during the past two dozen or so episodes. The ensuing mosaic of stock footage is narrated from the Gundam point of view, casting the forces of Oz and the Alliance in the worst possible light. The "bad guys" will have their chance to air their side of the story in the next episode, likewise a "cheater." First seen in Japan in 1995, "The Locus of Victory and Defeat" was seen in the U.S. on April 11, 2000.
