In this movie based on the anime TV series, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY, it's the year 73 of the Cosmic Era, and though the Bloody Valentine War between the PLANTS space colonies and the nations of the Atlantic Federation has ended, tensions remain high. ZAFT continues to prepare for conflict, and their newest in defensive technology is called the Impulse Gundam. Young soldier Shin Asuka, unable to readjust to civilian life, pilots the Impulse Gundam, but when the Federation gets a hold of the Impulse Gundam technology, the uneasy truce in the galaxy is broken.
