Synopsis by Sarah Block

Wayne Gretzky, or "The Great One," is widely considered to be the best professional hockey player of all time. In addition to holding 61 NHL records, Gretzky won nine MVP awards and four Stanley Cups during his years as a player for the Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings. This video retrospective examines Gretzky's huge influence on the game itself, as well as on the young superstars ("The Next Ones") in the game today. In addition to clips of exciting goals, passes, and overall teamwork, Gretzky himself offers commentary on the game and analyses of the players emerging to contend for the role of the NHL's best.
