In the first episode of a two-part story arc, Oliver (Eddie Albert) makes the acquaintance of a young law school graduate named Brian Williams (Rick Lenz). It is Brian's contention that Hooterville needs a good law practice, and he suggests that he and Oliver form a partnership. Unfortunately, this requires purchasing office space from Mr. Haney (Pat Buttram), who once again exercises his prerogative of playing fast and loose with the legal system.
