Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This low-budget programmer blended underworld drama with comic situations. Doris Dunbar (Grace Darmond) is a detective who is trying to locate some stolen jewels. Her investigation takes her to the Red Mill Inn, where Hooper (Carlton Griffith), the thief, is having a drink with Steve Martindale (Herbert Rawlinson). In a panic over the possibility of being caught, Hooper slips the jewels into Martindale's pocket. This sets off a complicated chain of events when Hooper tries to get the jewels back, and Doris and Martindale find themselves in a lot of trouble. The two of them wind up imprisoned in the thieves' hideout, where Doris discovers that Martindale was her childhood sweetheart. Their attempts to escape are foiled, but the police finally show up and rescue them. They may not have proven to be the best crime-fighting team in town, but Doris and Martindale decide they make great romantic partners and wed.
