Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith

Three of Hollywood's most attractive and talented actresses are profiled in this video. Greer Garson, Loretta Young, and Ida Lupino were all born in the early 1900s. Though their careers took somewhat different paths, each still has a loyal following. Greer Garson, who was born in Northern Ireland, graduated from the University of London before beginning her acting career. Many remember her Oscar-winning performance in the film Mrs. Miniver. In 1947, Loretta Young received an Oscar for her film The Farmer's Daughter. She continued making films until the early '50s when her television show The Loretta Young Show began its highly regarded six-year run. Ida Lupino, born in England, became well known to the public after she starred in High Sierra with Humphrey Bogart. She starred in many more films before later directing various episodes of TV shows. All three women's careers and lives remain inspiring to many.
