One of the longest-running bands to emerge from the Washington, D.C. hardcore punk scene, Government Issue were also one of the few successful punk bands from the nation's capital to break free from the boundaries of the Dischord community and create a style and sound of their own. Government Issue: Live 1985 -- Flipside features material from two G.I. shows shot for Flipside magazine's "Video Fanzine" series. Selections include "Blending In," "Four Wall Hermit," "Hear the Scream," "Puppet on a String," "Fun and Games," "Written Word," and many more.
