Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Though generally forgotten today, at the time of its release Golfo (Girl of the Mountains) was held up as an example of the best that the Greek film industry had to offer. Nikos Kazis plays a young shephered named Tassos, whose romantic dreams come true when he takes the lovely Golfo (Antigoni Valakou) as his bride. But Tassos is himself coveted by the wealthy Stavroula (Kyveli Theochari), who intends to use every feminine wile at her beck and call to win the boy away from his wife. Her scheme works, but at long last Golfo is able to bring Tassos to his senses. Alas, the price of Golfo's "victory" is her own life.
