Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This Universal feature was adapted from the novel by Varick Vanardy. Judith Ralston (Violet Mersereau) goes on a trip with her brother Budd (Cecil Owen) and his wife Vera (Ann Andrews), unaware that they are counterfeiters. When she is thrown from her horse and injured, she is rescued by handsome Boone Pendleton (Allen Edwards). While she recovers at his cabin, Fayban (Robert F. Hill), a secret service man, arrests Budd. When Vera comes to Judith with the news, Judith is surprised to learn of her brother's illegal behavior. She becomes determined to save him, even at the risk of her own honor. In spite of the suspicion surrounding her, she manages to help Budd escape. Pendleton believes that she's not involved in her brother's schemes, and romance wins out. This is a rare instance in silent films in which one of the leading characters actually gets away with his crime.
