Filmed in Switzerland, this 1983 live performance features several innovative arrangements from Gil Evans and his amazing 20-piece orchestra. Interpretations include pieces from a diverse group of musicians ranging from Gershwin, Charlie Mingus, and Thelonius Monk, to Jimi Hendrix and some of Evans' own compositions. Soloists include Michael and Randy Brecker, Lew Soloff, Howard Johnson, John Clark, Mike Manieri, and Billy Cobham.
