Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

This video is the third and final volume in a series that follows the great Nile River from its headwaters in the Omo region on to the Mediterranean Sea. In this volume, the country of Egypt, in all its diversity, is featured. Narrator Alan Hill takes the viewer on a tour of the fabled pyramids to see the beauty of the treasures there, to a Coptic Christian feast day in Assiut, and to a Muslim temple in Luxor. Ancient agricultural methods are still practiced in the shadow of the modern, bustling metropolis of Cairo. The film shows how all depend for their existence upon the great river Nile.
