Directed by Paul Young from a script by Ichiro Kusuno, this comedy-horror film follows an assistant director named Akira Kurosawa who, unlike his iconic filmmaker namesake, struggles to make it big in the local movie industry. He always carries a print copy of his precious screenplay called Ghost Master, which he hopes to direct one day. As the realization that his masterpiece won’t get made dawns on him, Kurosawa undergoes a depressed rage that somehow infuses an evil spirit into his script, turning it into a horror film that takes over the film set he’s working on.
