The children's series Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists introduces young people to some of history's most revered painters. Through a combination of lively animation and reproduction of masterworks, children become familiar with the particular style, technique, and subject matter of individual artists. In this episode, the French impressionist Claude Monet's life and work are explored in an entertaining and educational presentation. The series is based upon the book series of the same name by Mike Venezia and is intended for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
