Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A twelve year old boy embarks on a journey that will forever shape the way he views his urban surroundings in this thought-provoking coming of age drama from first-time feature filmmaker Aaron Greer. Rolanda and Daryl are a working class couple doing their best to raise their young son Eric while earning a living and caring for Rolanda's ailing mother. Darryl drives a bus on second shift, and the very pregnant Rolanda hasn't been feeling well as of late. Upon realizing that she has forgotten to fill the prescription for her mother's new diabetes medicine, Rolanda realizes that the only person able to make it to the store before closing time is young Eric. Desperate, Rolanda gives her son the prescription, her credit card, and $22 to pick up the medicine. But the streets are fast growing dark, and the city at nighttime is no place for a young boy. Now, what should have been a simple journey suddenly becomes hopelessly complicated, forcing a young boy to make decisions that seem logical at the time, but ultimately lead him into danger. Meanwhile, back home, a worried mother begins to regret her decision to send her young son into the night in order to carry out a task that would be better suited to a responsible adult.
