One of the last two-reel dramas from the Pathe film factory, Getaway Kate starred Helene Chadwick in the title role. Falsely accused of forgery, secretary Kate Sherwood escapes while en route to the courtroom. After hitching a ride with a passing train, Kate takes refuge in the home of hero David Marlow (Henry Goell). He agrees to help Kate to clear her name, but to do this he may very well jeopardize the safety of someone near and dear to him. Though not technically a comedy, Getaway Kate had just as many laughs as thrills.
