Synopsis by Cammila Collar
A young man has many choices when it comes to college affiliations. He can join a fraternity, he can play a sport, he can even join one of the man clubs on campus. For Sasahara, it may be embarrassing, but the only group that interests him is Genshiken, also known as Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture. This is a club for the nerdiest of the nerdy: the kids who are obsessed with cosplay, anime, manga, role-playing games, and computers. In other words, Genshiken is a haven for the Otaku, and Sasahara is going to fit right in.
