Synopsis by Hal Erickson

In this second episode of Andromeda's first season, Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) and his starship Andromeda continue fending off Beka Valentine (Lisa Ryder) and her mercenaries. After their betrayal at the hands of their Nietzchean "comrades," Beka and crew figure out that they're fighting on the wrong side, and join forces with Hunt in his efforts to restore the Systems Commonwealth. But can Hunt, who has been in frozen stasis for 300 years, withstand the high-tech weaponry carried by his new enemies? "An Affirming Flame" originally aired on October 9, 2000.
