Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Season Two of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda came to an end on May 13, 2002 with the episode titled "The Tunnel at the End of the Light." On the eve of the signing of a new Commonwealth Charter, Andromeda and crew must fulfill their destiny by warding off an enormous alien invasion. As Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) and Beka (Lisa Ryder) prepare to safeguard their comrades from thousands upon thousands of phase-shifting ships from an alternate universe, the "present" Trance (Laura Bertram) is confronted by her time-shifting former self. This cliffhanger finale served a dual purpose: to whet the viewer's appetite for Season Three, and to purge the series of the "Save the Commonwealth" story line so that Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) and the others could devote their time to random rescue missions.
