Synopsis by Mark Deming
British indie-pop band Gene documented their 2000 United States tour (in support of their album Revelations) with a live album, and this companion video captures the sights and sounds of the band on-stage at the fabled Troubador club in West Hollywood, California. Featuring a special introduction from legendary disc jockey Rodney Bingenheimer, Gene: Rising For Sunset includes the songs "The British Disease," "Be My Light, Be My Guide," "Olympian," "For the Dead," "As Good As It Gets," and many more.
