Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Harry Morey stars in this Vitagraph drama. When New Yorker Edgar Beverly buys some land in Tennessee, a large syndicate tries to gain control of it. Beverly sends his son, Rod (Morey), down to see what is going on, and during the train ride, he meets Nessy Worthing (Louiszita Valentine), the daughter of the man who sold his father the land. The mountain folk believe Rod is a revenuer and they make things unpleasant for him. His only friend is apparently Dan Barrow (Walter Horton), who warns him of attempts on his life. It turns out that Barrow is working with the people who are trying to get the property, which contains iron ore. When one of the Worthings is killed, Rod is held responsible and he is in danger of being lynched. Nessy is locked up so she can't help him, but she escapes and goes to Buck Higby (Frank Hagney). She promises to marry him if he saves Rod. Barrow and Rod come to blows in a prison cell, and when Barrow tries to escape, he is mistaken for Rod and shot. Higby, meanwhile, confesses that he killed Worthing in self defense. Although he saves Rod, he is fatally shot. Rod goes to Nessy and they are married.
