The Experimentation Company closes in on the Gowa Central Facility, reaching the building just as the U.S. forces penetrate its walls. A vicious battle ensues, with both evenly matched sides taking heavy damage. As Yushiro stops the last American TA, his battered unit reacts to his off-the-charts vital signs, partly absorbing the enemy TA as it repairs itself under his direct control. Meanwhile, Miharu has decided to leave Symbol, and Meth wishes her well. In the United States, the president realizes it's over, ending both the attack on Japan and the moratorium on grain exports. To everyone's surprise, Nishida pulls back on his operation as well, speaking directly with the president and expressing gratitude as their two nations seek better understanding. But as Nishida seeks closure, Kazukiyo Gowa has other plans for Japan. (American release in 2002.)
