As Won tries to dig up information on Yushiro and Miharu to figure out why Symbol wants them so badly, the Gowas are trying to find out more about Won. Colonel Hirokawa has learned that he is part of the Kyouwakai, a collective of Kansai residents that defend their homes against gang members and rioters. As increased rioting is expected in the area, Hirokawa plans to deploy some of his forces to Kansai for peacekeeping, but with a secondary mission of finding Yushiro. The next day, the news about the grain shortage hits, and riots break loose as expected. Prodded by Hirokawa, the prime minister dispatches TAs to accompany other SSDF units to keep things under control. Miharu, who has been in a daze since making contact with the statue at the old Watanabe shrine, unwittingly gives away their position -- and the hunt is on. (American release in 2001.)
