Synopsis by Forrest Spencer
This is a spectacular journey to the abyss of the great oceans. This documentary follows the life of deep sub pilot Gary Montemayor, a licensed submersible captain with a record of over five thousand dives. This tape, filmed over a two year period, takes the viewer to depths over one thousand feet, with 40 million pounds of pressure upon the sub, to the great walls of the western Caribbean, revealing the life forms that inhabit the waters at that depth, including the Stalked Crinoid, one of the oldest creatures on the earth, and 25-foot flesh-eating sharks that attack the submarine. This documentary is filled with adventure, excitement, startling photography, and informative educational information both about this profession and about life beneath the sea.
