In this desolate family drama, a young man (Rory Culkin) struggling with mental illness in the aftermath of his father's suicide wanders the country in hopes of reuniting with Alice (Emily Meade), a childhood friend whom he wishes to marry. His wanderings concern his frazzled mother (Deirdre O'Connell) and overachieving brother (David Call).
