Appearing as himself, singer Wayne Newton) hires Joey (David Coulier) for his Las Vegas nightclub act (it seems that a group of trained chimps have fallen ill). Disturbingly, Joey invites everyone to attend his premiere performance except his father, Col. Gladstone (Arlen Dean Snyder). Thus, DJ (Candace Cameron) and Steph (Jodie Sweetin) take it upon themselves to reunite father and son--blissfully unaware of the reason that Joey and his dad haven't spoken together in years.
