Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Ralph Ince directs his sister-in-lawAnita Stewart in this overwrought melodrama. Stewart plays Rose Peters, a woman wronged by her employer, William Brown (Earle Williams). When she enters Brown's office to tell him that they must get married, she finds him embracing the new stenographer, Belle Waring (Ruth Edwards). An argument ensues which ends when Rose stabs Brown with a paper knife. She believes she has killed him and rushes home to her father, a detective (Anders Randolph). Mr. Peters is just getting a report of the stabbing as she arrives, and as Rose emphatically begs him not to take the case, he comes to realize she's probably the one that did it. Being a strong believer in justice, Peters is about to arrest his own daughter when he is ordered to drop the case. Brown is very much alive, and now refuses to press charges. Instead he tries to beg Rose's forgiveness, and after another angry scene, her father gives his consent to a marriage.
