Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) declares her independence from Ross (David Schwimmer) by dating Mark (Steven Eckholdt). Though Monica (Courteney Cox) and her wealthy beau, Pete (Jon Favreau), have little in common, Monica persists in the relationship -- but not for the reasons that seem obvious to those around her. And contrary to his expectations, Joey (Matt LeBlanc) falls for Kate (Dina Meyer in her first series appearance), the actress appearing opposite him in a play.
