Reclusive movie lover Victor spends most of his time in front of the television with his pet rat Frankenstein. When Victor loses the ability to distinguish reality from fantasy, television signals begin to bombard his brain and visions of his dead mother haunt his every waking minute. Desperate for companionship, Victor decides that his best option for companionship is to make a new friend from scratch. But when Victor's manufactured friend grows critical of his unstable master, the real horror begins.
