Synopsis by Rovi
The Canadian sketch comedy series Four on the Floor was an outgrowth of the CBC radio weekly Frantic Times. Appropriately, the four male stars of the series referred to themselves as "The Frantics", and did their best to live up to this cognomen. Recurring characters (there are always recurring characters in a show of this nature) included Mr. Canoehead, Quenelle and Mary, the Evil Ultramind, A Lonely Guy In a Room, and Mr. Interesting. Coproduced by the CBC and Telefilm Canada, Four on the Floor debuted June 13, 1986, and lasted thirteen weeks; it might have lasted longer had it not be scheduled opposite the phenomenally successful American sitcom The Cosby Show.
