Best known as an Australian talk-show and variety-series host, Don Lane also emceed a number of sports programs. One of these was telecast by Australia's Ten Network on Friday evenings in 1971. Football Quiz delivered what its title promised, with Don Lane supplying cash and merchandise prizes based upon the contestants' football knowledge. The series was shown in tandem with another of the host's many TV projects, Lane's Look at the League.
