Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Marshall Strong (Mitchell Lewis) and John Moore (Wellington Playter) are partners in a mine but rivals for the affection of school teacher Constance Harvey (Florence Turner). Through subterfuge, Moore wins Constance's hand, but it doesn't take her long to realize she should have married Strong instead. Moore is killed in a saloon brawl, and Strong unfairly gets the blame. He tries to see Constance, but spies some members of the posse that are out to capture him. He heads for another part of the country, believing that she wanted him arrested. Years later, Strong has come to own a very fruitful mine. He is also married and has a daughter, Nancy (Evelyn Brent). She is the only good thing in his life -- his wife is a frigid, status seeking woman, and he takes out his frustrations on his workers. Constance's son David (Kempton Green) gets a job at Strong's mine and falls in love with Nancy. Because of Strong's meanness and mismanagement, there is an accident at the mine and David is trapped inside. Strong finally comes to realize what an awful person he has become and he helps carry men out of the mine. With this change of heart, he now blesses the union between David and Nancy.
