Synopsis by Alice Day

The tundra wolf is a subspecies of the gray wolf, and is found in the boreal forests of the world. Tundra Wolf was filmed in the Canadian Northwest Territories, and traces the habits of this predator as it stalks prey in the forbidding environment of the Arctic circle. Robert Redford narrates this award-winning story of the wolf and its principal food source, the barren ground caribou. Using special filming techniques, the program depicts the hunting style of the wolf, and the way in which both predator and prey have evolved over time.
