Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Former Yale athlete Brent Brewster (William Desmond) winds up a failure after graduation until he decides to become a detective. His agency sends him to investigate a series of jewel thefts. He attends a party held by Craig Lansing (J. Barney Sherry), and discovers that one of the other guests, Captain Drake (Jack Livingston), is actually a notorious English crook. Drake is carrying on a flirtation with Lansing's wife, Ruth (Laura Sears), so he can pull off a heist. Brewster is not only able to collar the crook, he also wins Ruth's pretty sister, Ann (Golda Madien). The latter could be a problem, since Ann expects to be supported in the expensive style to which she is accustomed. An inheritance from one of Brewster's rich relatives, however, solves this dilemma.
