Unceremoniously dumped by his college girlfriend Margaret during a trip to Cambodia, lovelorn American Keith returns to Philadelphia and teams with his best friend Chainsaw to form a "relationship investigation" team devoted to revealing unfaithful husbands, wives, boyfriends, and girlfriends for the two-timing louses that they truly are. In the immediate aftermath of the break-up, Keith's faithful pal Chainsaw was the only one willing to give his depressed friend the kind of wake-up call needed to snap him back to reality. Later, just as things are beginning to look up and the two burgeoning relationship sleuths start to make a name for themselves, they have a chance run-in with Keith's long lost friend Joey. Joey has just come bounding out of the closet, and happily introduces the pair to the wild and unpredictable local nightclub scene. In addition to crossing paths with sexy German S&M specialists Helga and Ursula during his wild nights out on the town, Keith also comes face to face with outgoing beauty Chloe. Chloe might just be the girl of Keith's dreams, and after a round of shots the pair are quickly beating a path back to the bedroom. Unfortunately, timing is everything in the early stages of a relationship, and just as Keith and Chloe begin hitting it off who should show up but Keith's domineering ex-girlfriend Margaret. As the girl who always took charge in the relationship, Margaret was the bane of Chainsaw's existence. Now, as Keith's scheming ex threatens to ruin his burgeoning relationship with Chloe, it's up to Chainsaw and his mysterious brown bag to ensure that Margaret doesn't sabotage what might be his best buddy's one chance at true happiness.
