Synopsis by Janiss Garza

After reading about his illustrious ancestors, a young English Duke (Burnette Parker) decides to bring the age of chivalry to his modern estate. He instructs all the servants -- much to their consternation -- to dress and act like the servants of yesteryear. Then he sends word to a neighboring Earl (Robert Gary) that he would like to marry his ward (Gladys Hulette). The girl, who is in a convent, is sent for, but on the way to the Duke's, she meets up with a Gypsy caravan and falls in love with one of them, a blacksmith (Wayne Arey). Once she arrives at the Duke's estate, she finds the costumes amusing but the Duke himself a washout. The Duke haughtily decides that she needs to learn obedience and asks a Gypsy fortune teller (Caroline Lee) to teach her. Conveniently, the fortune teller happens to be the blacksmith's mother. So through her, the girl is able to escape and elope with the blacksmith.
